SWEDISH MASSAGE
When you are in need of relaxation, this is the massage that will transport you there. Long, flowing strokes and light pressure induce a sense of calmness and tranquility to help you reduce your stress, boost your immune system and promote a sense of well-being.
Swedish Massage generally starts on your back by lubricating the skin with hot oil and performing Effleurage (gliding) strokes that warm up and work the muscle tissue, releasing tension and breaking up muscle “knots” or adhered tissues, called adhesion. Then we continue with other Swedish Massage techniques that include, kneading, friction and stretching. The Tapping Massage technique is used at the end of the massage. The Swedish Massage technique sequence is the same for all parts of the body, though the type of strokes used varies. After the back massage is finished, the therapist continues on the back of each leg. When done with the back side, the therapist holds the sheet or towel up and looks away while you turn over onto your back and scoot down; then quickly covers you again. The therapist then massages the front of each leg, both arms, and generally finishes with your neck and shoulders.
*No extra charges for deep tissue, warm stones, or warm tables.
LYMPHATIC MASSAGE DRAINAGE
Lymphatic Massage drainage? Your lymphatic system helps eliminate your body’s waste. A healthy, active lymphatic system uses the natural movements of smooth muscle tissue to do this. However, surgery, medical conditions, or other damage can cause fluids to build up in your lymph system and your lymph nodes, a condition known as lymphedema. If you’ve ever had a surgery on or involving your lymph nodes, your doctor may have suggested lymphatic drainage massage performed by a certified massage or physical therapist. However, lymphatic massage is not recommended for people with the following conditions:
• congestive heart failure
• history of blood clots or stroke
• liver problems or kidney problems
Lymphatic drainage massage, also known as manual lymphatic drainage, is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling in your arms and legs caused by lymphedema. Lymphedema often affects people recovering from breast cancer surgery.
Lymphedema happens when your tissues retain fluid left behind after your cardiovascular system sends blood to your tissues and organs. The remaining fluid is called lymph. Normally, your lymphatic system collects your lymph and returns it to your heart via a network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes. When something disrupts your lymphatic system's process, lymph collects in your arms and legs, making them swell.
A massage therapist uses lymphatic drainage massage techniques to move lymph from your tissues to your lymph nodes, which eases the swelling in your tissues.
DEEP TISSUE

Deep Tissue Massage is usually a slower and firmer massage. A person receiving a Deep Tissue Massage usually lays on the stomach or back, in one position. While deep pressure is applied to targeted areas of the body by a trained Massage Therapist. The massage is very beneficial mostly, because it helps stimulate blood flow and relieve muscle tension, while at the same time lowering psychological stress and releasing “happy hormones” like Serotonin and Oxytocin.
THAI MASSAGE
The practice of Thai yoga massage is said to be thousands of years old, but it is still part of Thailand's medical system due to its perceived healing properties at both emotional and physical levels. There are differences in certain practices associated with massage when performed in the Western and Thai contexts. Western cultural sensibilities might differ in terms of accepting shamanic healing practices such as increasing the intensity of the massage or the giver jumping around the massage table like the Hindu god Hanuman. Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions. The recipient remains clothed during treatment. There is constant body contact between the giver and receiver, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched, and rocked. The concept of metta (loving-kindness), based on Buddhist teachings, is an integral part of this practice. Well-known practitioners also emphasize meditation and devotion on a part of the practitioner as integral to the effectiveness of this practice

The recipient wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mat or firm mattress on the floor. In Thailand, a dozen or so subjects may receive a massage simultaneously in one large room. The true ancient style of massage requires that the massage be performed solo with just the giver and receiver. The receiver will be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions during the course of the massage, which is also combined with deep static and rhythmic pressures.

The massage generally follows designated lines ("sen") in the body. The legs and feet of the giver can be used to position the body or limbs of the recipient. In other positions, hands fix the body, while the feet do the massaging. A full Thai massage session may last two hours and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. This may include pulling fingers, toes, and ears, cracking knuckles, walking on the recipient's back, by palm-press, thumb-press, fingers-press, and forearm-press in many different positions, including HDS.
